3/05/2007 - Generous Donation
Thanks to the very generous donation of one of our members, we have been able to fund a fence to prevent non club members from driving on the field, build a 12x20 deck on the east side of the club house and enhance the entrance way off Harwood Ave. with a stone fence and some shrubbery.
There are a number of additional projects that need to done at your leisure. If there is something that you think you could help out with it would go a long way in keeping up with the general wear and tear. Hopefully the Trillium Grant will fund the completion of the practice field.
- Paint the patio doors as well as the three entrance doors
- Paint the steeple on the roof
- Provide any repairs or maintenance to the showers
- Clean all the windows
- Provide caulking to the exterior where necessary
- Paint the lower deck
- Water seal the upper and side deck
- Prune the trees on the east side of the field and take the firewood away if you need it
- Clean the brass railing around the base of the bar
- Identify and list chronologically by year all winners and recipients of trophies from the beginning – we plan on consolidating the names on a large display board attached to the wall under the appropriate category
- Clean the clubhouse on a weekly basis usually on Monday – sweep out the change rooms and tidy the upstairs
- Paint the interior ceiling of the main hall
- Clean and organize the fireplace so that it is safe and operational
- Cut the grass and fertilize when needed
- Locate and plant some additional shrubs or trees around the clubhouse and field
- Dig out the entrance way from the change rooms to the field and install tile to drain away excess water after heavy rains
