John Phillips Bryant

John Phillips Bryant
John passed away peacefully from a stroke on December 14, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marjorie; his daughter Sarah and her husband Mark Burrows and their children Bryce, Christian and Thomas of Georgetown; and his daughter Leslie and her husband Jeffrey Steinberg, and their children Hilary and Andrew of Toronto. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in the UK, Australia, USA, India, and beyond; Brother William and his wife Eileen in Spain; Sister Anne and husband Jeff in Australia. He is predeceased by his sister Josie in the UK. He loved all things athletic, playing rugby for the Toronto Wanderers and working to build the Fletcher's Fields Rugby Club in Markham. He was whitewater canoeing at 60 and skiing with his grandchildren at 70 John was a great worker for the Wanderers and was made a lifetime member for his efforts including the present Clubhouse; he also found the land at Fletchers Field and played a major part in its development.
